- ★ ★ ★ ☆ ☆I asked for 2 Yale style keys to be cut last Friday at a reasonable cost of £3. Got home and found they didnt work (they entered lock but would not turn at all, neither one). Saturday I went back to the shop and said they did not work so the owner rubbed a file over them for a few seconds and said "try that". Still didnt work. Monday I went back for a 3rd time and asked for a refund but he said I needed to bring the door lock in as its store policy. So I asked him "How come you didnt tell me your your policy when I first said the keys didnt work and I couldve brought the lock today (and arranged someone to look after my unsecure house?), I dont feel I should have to make a 4th journey." He said he didnt care what was or wasnt said, and then asked me some rubbish if I could remember the contract we had when I asked him to cut me a key "Because you didnt stipulate that you actually wanted a WORKABLE key cut". I asked him if he was proud ripping people off, to which he said Ok I made a mistake but youre not getting a refund anyway. OAPs use this Mall more than most and I would hate to think he uses the same underhand tactics on someone more vulnerable than myself. So 4 keys cut, none that work, no wonder its cheap. I went across the road to L***** and got one cut, worked 1st time! Next task is contacting Trading Standards; I dont care about the money anymore, just want to raise awareness that this business isnt fit for the 21st century as the owners attitude towards customer service stinks and most definitely illegal.By Admin, January 07, 2020
